Dr. Phillips is a proponent of the Paleo food pyramid, and the Mediterranean and Asian food pyramids less the starchy carbohydrates.  Fresh, slightly undercooked vegetables, natural oils such as olive and sesame; nuts, seeds, eggs and fish are all super anti-inflammatory foods. Considering that low grade inflammation is responsible for the beginning of many diseases including heart and liver disease, it makes good sense to eat and snack from the center of these well known food pyramids.
